Phalanx-IT was established in 2011 and is an IT services company based in Kent. We are a technology support, infrastructure, procurement and software development outsourced IT department for professional organisations, SME’s and individuals throughout Kent.
We specialise in Managed Services for small businesses and IT support for companies that range from 1 to 50 employees. Phalanx-IT emerged from a collective frustration born within the fast-paced environment of London's financial district. We recognised the barriers hindering problem resolution, stemming from fragmented structures within the umbrella term of ‘IT’. These sub groups and fiefdoms always seemed to strangle our ability to take full ownership of projects, defects, or issues allocated to us, leading to prolonged timelines and diminished productivity.
Our motivation wasn't solely rooted in cost efficiency but rather in addressing the inherent inefficiencies plaguing large-scale operations. The office politics, fragmented sub-departments, and bureaucratic red tape created an environment where even the simplest tasks could languish for days, if not longer.
This experience epitomised the notion that within the realm of bureaucracy, productivity often takes a back seat to administrative overhead, resulting in a diluted focus on meaningful work. This sentiment is best captured by the adage, "In the kingdom of bureaucracy, the herd grows fat while the work grows thin."
